Severe symptoms in Cow Milk Allergy

Cow Milk Allergy is a problem that can have substantial health, financial and social implications, especially in the first years of life. Despite that, many people think that it just causes digestive discomfort and stomach problems.

Symptoms of CMA are instead various and often severe. Most frequent are cutaneous problems (atopic dermatitis, eczema) and digestive disorders (diarrhea haemorrhagic and non-haemorrhagic, vomiting, acid reflux); least frequent but almost serious are respiratory tract’s disorders, like asthma.
Pain and colitis often lead to sleepless nights, both for children and parents.

It’s important to remember that CMA rarely causes anaphylactic shock, a very dangerous and severe condition during your baby’s early life.
